Market Intelligence & Applications

The Fisher V150 is heavily utilized across the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries. As a high-demand control valve, there is a strong secondary market for these units in both new surplus and used conditions.

Whether you have a single V150 left over from a pipeline project, or an entire facility of Fisher valves from a plant decommissioning, ValveBuyer.com has the capital and logistics network to purchase your inventory immediately.

Expert Repair & Failure Analysis

Related Model: Fisher 657 — Piston Actuated Globe Valve. Sizes 1"-8", Classes 150-600. Application: High thrust applications, long stroke.

What Usually Goes Wrong

Positioner Calibration Drift: DVC6200 or 3582 positioner loses calibration due to vibration, temperature extremes, or component aging. Valve doesn't respond accurately to control signal.

Repair: Recalibrate positioner (auto-calibration on DVC6200). If hardware failure, replace positioner. DVC6200 lead time: 1-2 weeks. Legacy 3582: 2-4 weeks or source from surplus.

Trim Wear/Erosion: Valve trim (plug, seat ring, cage) erodes from high-velocity fluid, cavitation, or abrasive particles. Causes loss of control accuracy and increased leakage. Most common in V150/V200 after 2-4 years in erosive service.

Repair: Replace trim set (plug + seat ring + cage). Fisher trim is interchangeable between V150/V200/V300 bodies. Standard trim lead time: 2-4 weeks. Severe service trim (Cavitrol, WhisperFlo): 6-8 weeks.

Repair Lead Time

Complete valve rebuild: 3-6 weeks — full teardown, all internals, hydro/seat test
